A Piece Of Heaven
A couple weekends ago we took a much needed getaway. We went to the Westover family cabin in the Uintahs and had such a wonderful weekend. Adam has been working a ton and actually decided to take a day off. We had so much fun. We watched movies, ate, took naps, ate, played, ate and slept. The cabin is so peaceful. I love being there and not having a care in the world. It was so beautiful with the snow and the bright blue sky. It was like having my own piece of heaven. Thank-you Grandma and Grandpa Westover for letting us use the cabin. We enjoy it more than you will ever know!

Spring Fever
Today was the most beautiful day! It was in the high 50's and sunny! After Madison got done with dance, we picked up lunch and headed to the park! The girls had such a great time playing on the playground and enjoying the outdoors. Spring is right around the corner and I am so ready.

The Princess Party
Madison wanted to have a "princess" party for her birthday. I tried to talk her into build a bear, but she would not hear of it. So, she invited 5 friends over for a party on Saturday. They all dressed up in their princess dresses and looked darling! There was even a surprise. Snow White was coming to the party. I found a girl who dresses up like Snow White and will host the party. Whew! that took alot off my shoulders. The girls had so much fun. Madison liked everything she got and Snow White was a hit.

Bye-Bye Binkie
I am so happy! This past weekend Avery gave up the binkie. Well, she didn't really give it up, it took a little bribing from "the binkie fairy". For those of you who don't know who this "binkie fairy" is, she takes binkies away from pacifier loving little children and takes them to all the babies. In return the good little girl who shares her binkies gets a toy. I have been talking to Avery for the longest time about the "binkie fairy" explaning who she is and what she does. Avery was never ready for the "binkie fairy" to come. Last Thursday Avery left her binkie at the gym. I was not about to drive back there to get her binkie (this was our only binkie). So the "binkie fairy" was forced to come. Avery was not very happy about it. In the morning there was a snow white doll on our door step for her. She was so excited! It is now Monday and she has done great! She is still taking naps and going to bed great. As long as her snow white doll is there she is a happy girl!

Winter Blahs!!!!!!
Today was one of those days. Cold, dreary, and ugly! Madison had dance today, so that was fun for her. Avery on the other hand woke up on the wrong side of the bed and stayed there all day. Neither one of the girls took good naps. That made them ever crankier. So when they woke up I had an idea to play princess. We made tiaras, played dress up, had a tea party, and danced. This is what it looked like when we started:

And this is what it looked like after about a 1/2 hour:
Both Avery and Madison were having break downs and I was on my last nerve!
That was when I decided we would paint. They enjoyed that for maybe 10 minutes, then we were on to coloring. Lets just say I was counting down the minutes until I could leave to go to the gym. Tonight my spin class saved me and gave me a little sanity! Thank heavens the girls enjoy the day care at the gym. The count down is on until Adam comes home on Friday. This is why I am sick of winter. Everyone in my house has the winter blahs which leads to cabin fever. Then we have a day like today. Even the poor dogs are going crazy. I cannot wait until spring comes and we can play outside, go on walks, and go to the park.

Re-Cap on the past year
I have decided to give everyone an update of our lives for the past year. We are now back in Utah! We moved back June of last year. It is so nice to be close to family, but it was also sad to say good-bye to Colorado. We loved the short time we lived there. We made some great friends and fell in love with Colorado. But as many of you know we tend to move quite often. This is the fifth time we have moved in the seven years we have been married. I am happy to say that this move should be pretty permanent (until Adam gets the itch to get promoted, again:). The girls are doing great! Madison is going to turn 4 next week and is going to preschool two days a week and taking dance lessons. She is so much fun. Avery is 2 1/2 and is now potty trained! Yah! She is getting so big. We have had a fun winter. We stayed home for Christmas. Adam's parents came to Utah, so we spent time with them as well as my family. It was nice and relaxing. Adam and I have started hitting the slopes again. Adam is snowboarding and I am skiing. Madison started skiing this year and loves it. We took a family trip to Grand Targhee ski resort in January. Madison was in ski lessons for two days and did awesome. Avery didn't want to go down the hill this year. Next year we will start her.
Madison loved her new helment and goggles. As you can tell, pink is a must with her.
Madison is such a daddy's girl. He is the only one who can talk her into doing things. first day
Well, I have decided to start blogging. It seems everyone has a blog now days. I figure I should get with it and start one as well. I will start posting pictures asap.
